Summer Wrap Up Readathon Wrap Up Post

This readathon ended a week ago, but I'm finally able to post what I accomplished. My goal was to read as much of the 50 Shades trilogy that I could, and I was able to read a book and a half (All of Fifty Shades of Grey and half of Fifty Shades Darker.) I've been so busy this week getting ready for the start of school next week, that I haven't read much at all this week.

Summer Wrap Up Readathon and Vacation

I have one week left of summer vacation. My plan was to read 12 books this summer. Well tonight I should be finishing book #12, which means I would have met my goal, a week ahead of schedule. Yay! I'll be spending my last week of freedom aboard the Carnival Pride for seven days as it cruises from Baltimore, MD to Port Canaveral, Florida and then to the Bahamas. I plan to spend lots of time on a deck chair by the pool or on my balcony in a deck chair overlooking the ocean while reading my Nook Color, so I figured I'd sign up for this Summer Wrap Up Readathon.
My goals? Well, I figure I'll read some trashy erotica, so I'm downloading the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and I hope to finish it during the week (or at least finish the first one and depending on how I like that one, decide if the other two will be worth reading.)
Have a great week!

Wrapping Up 2011 Readathon

Since I am off work until after the new year, this will be the perfect chance to get some last minute reading done before the end of the year. Jessie at Remarkable Reads is hosting the Wrapping Up 2011 Readathon, which started yesterday and runs through midnight on New Year's Eve.

My plan is to spend at least two hours a day reading (an hour in the morning and an hour before bed). The books I plan to read are:

1. The Bite Before Christmas-Heidi Betts (currently on pg. 83 of 238)
2. Indulgence in Death-JD Robb (currently on pg. 57 of 384)
3. Dating Mr. December-Philipa Ashley
4. Twas the Spy Before Christmas-Connie Keenan
5.

I haven't chosen a 5th book yet, although I would like to. That will take my 2011 Books Read number to 62.

Catching Up Readathon Update

I didn't read anything on Thursday because I thought this readathon didn't start until Friday. I need to do what I tell my students to do, which is to read all the directions carefully before beginning! Anyway, since then I have:

Time spent reading: 2 hours and 20 minutes
Pages read: 15 pages to finish reading Sizzling Sixteen and 92 pages of The Night Before Thirty-107 pages total

Still 7 books behind on goodreads.

The Catching Up Readathon

At the beginning of the year, I entered the Good Reads Reading Challenge and stated that my goal would be to read 100 books. According to them, I am now 7 books behind. Luckily, I am not the only one behind and Bookworming Through the 21st Century is hosting the Catching Up Readathon. Details:

When: Thursday, April 21st through the end of Monday, April 25th. Any time zone, start when you want, read when you want.
Where: Here, on your blog, on your couch, on Goodreads.. wherever!
What: Read books - duh! If you'd like to make a goal, go ahead.

My goal is to read at least 3-4 books during that time. Head on over and sign up.
